Yusuf sebagai Teladan Pria Kristen Kontemporer: Sebuah Telaah Teologi Konseling dalam Merespon Krisis Pembapaan
Abstract
This study explores the crisis of pembapaan in contemporary Christian families, marked by the emotional and spiritual absence of fathers. This crisis impacts children’s identity, psychological health, and character formation. Contributing factors include economic stress, patriarchal structures, and flawed views of masculinity. Through theological counseling and library research, this study examines Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, as a model for transformative Christian fatherhood. Joseph exemplifies presence, faithfulness, and obedience rather than dominance. By synthesizing insights from Akili Kumasi, Tony Evans, and A.E. Ellis, the study proposes a framework of pembapaan rooted in love, servant leadership, and spiritual intimacy. It recommends Joseph as a paradigm to guide Christian men in restoring family wholeness and strengthening spiritual life at home. The study not only contributes to theological counseling but also offers practical steps toward reclaiming Christian male identity through a fatherhood shaped by divine love.
