Artificial Intelligence Policy

Kharisma: Jurnal Ilmiah Teologi acknowledges the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and their potential use in academic writing. To maintain academic integrity, we enforce the following policy:

  1. Authorship: AI tools cannot be listed as an author of a manuscript. AI lacks the ability to take legal and ethical responsibility for the submitted work, which is a core requirement of authorship.

  2. Transparency: Authors who use AI tools in the writing process (such as for translation, paraphrasing, or language copyediting) must transparently disclose this usage in the "Acknowledgments" or "Methodology" section of the manuscript.

  3. Accountability: The human authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the entire content. Authors must ensure that AI-assisted content does not violate our plagiarism policies or include fabricated data (hallucinations).

  4. Review Process: Peer reviewers are strictly prohibited from uploading manuscripts into public AI tools to generate review reports, as this breaches the confidentiality of the author's unpublished work.
